EU-Symposium and National Events

On September 16, 2025, the EU-MiCare Symposium: “Toward inclusive mental health care for migrants and refugees” was held in Berlin and online. We discussed current challenges in mental health and migration, shared experiences, and presented the results of the EU-MiCare project. The event brought together international experts, policymakers, healthcare professionals, and social organizations, with the aim of strengthening the European network of cooperation in mental health for migrants and refugees.

One of the highlights of our Symposium was the KeyNote Speech by Prof. Renos Papadopoulos from the University of Essex (England)- a renowned expert in the field of mental health and migration – who introduced the theoretical foundation of our training in his inspiring talk „Basic Framework for the training of staff working in Migrant and Refugee Mental Health”.
