A humanitarian emergency

The IOM – UN Migration has warned of a heightened humanitarian situation in the European Union, as the entry of irregular migrants increased 48% in 2023 compared to 2022 and is the highest figure since 2015.
It is well documented that migrants enter Europe via extremely dangerous routes, with many experiencing poor mental health for a multitude of reasons. That is why projects such as #EUMiCare, that focus on training professionals of various backgrounds with the purpose of empowering them to better address mental health in migrants, are so important.
